Highest price rise for cooking oil
Consumer prices rose by 0.1 per cent on average in June, and were up by 6.7 per cent compared to June 2007. Food prices were down by 0.4 per cent compared to May. Food prices rose at a higher than average rate in the previous 12 months (12.3 per cent). The price of cooking oil has gone up by 77.3 per cent, while flour was up by 45.8 per cent and pasta by 24 per cent.
