DM to expand by some dozen of stores annually
In order to maintain its pace of development to date, over the next three years Drogerie Markt (DM) plans to open 12-14 drugstores a year in Hungary.
Within the next ten years, the Hungary store count might reach
the current number in Austria, i.e., 350 outlets.
The first DM store in Hungary was opened in 1993 in
Budapest. It has been followed by 15-20 new units each year. At the end of 2006
there were 188 DM outlets in operation in the country, and a further 12 have
already been added this year. As of today, the number of jobs offered at DM in
Hungary is 1,650.
