The price of coffee jumped to heights has not seen for years
Coffee futures quotes have seen an overnight increase since 2015 – origo wrote. However, this is not a big surprise when we consider that commodity prices have increased by 38 percent this year.
Coffee futures (March 2020 delivery) rose on Monday by 7 percent. There has been no such overnight rise since 2015. Nonetheless, the price of coffee today is around a 3-year high and has risen 38 percent so far this year, writes CNBC.
Overall, this year saw a spectacular rise in the coffee market, mainly due to a shortage of supply. (origo)
