Confidence decreased in the euro area
Consumer confidence deteriorated in the euro area in January, which is mainly in connection with the concerns over the debts of some countries in the region.
According to the preliminary estimate of the European Commission; the index measuring confidence decreased to minus 11.4 points, from the minus 11.0 points of December. The Brussels Commission's preliminary investigation showed that the consumer confidence deteriorated in January in the whole Union to minus 12,8 points from the minus 12.1 points of December.
