Romanian retail sales increased by 1.5 percent at the beginning of the year
In the first two months, according to raw data, the volume of Romanian retail sales increased by 1.5 percent compared to the same period of last year. According to the seasonally and calendar-adjusted value, a decrease of 1.9 percent was recorded in the period under review, the Romanian National Statistical Institute said on Monday.
The increase in raw data was mainly due to sales of non-food products, which increased by 6.3 percent, sales of food, while beverages and tobacco products increased by 1.4 percent, while sales of fuel fell by 7.5 percent. (MTI)
