In December the winner of the “Wine Producer of the Year in Hungary 2024” title of the Hungarian Wine Academy was announced.

The award went to Zsolt Liptai, head of the Winery of Pannonhalma Abbey. This is the first time that a winemaker from the Pannonhalma wine region is named “Wine Producer of the Year”.

This prize isn’t a recognition of the excellence of a single wine, but is awarded for the outstanding performance of the winning winemaker over several years. //
