Euro zone: growing economy and buoyant retail
According to Eurostat; the GDP of the Euro-zone grew by 0.3 percent, while in the area of the 27 Member States increased by 0.2 percent in the fourth quarter of 2010, compared to the previous quarter.
In the third-quarter of 2010 figures showed a rise of 0.3 percent in the zone and a 0.5 increase in the 27 Member States. On an annual basis for the 27 Member States, a 2.1 percent increase was occured, while in the zone, a 2 percent growth rate occured. During the fourth quarter, household expenditures rose by 0.4 percent in the zone and by 0.3 percent in the 27 Member States – reports tozsdeforum.hu.
