Eurozone: 2 percent decline in industrial orders
In January 2010, the industrial orders within the Eurozone showed a 2 percent monthly decline, after the 0.8 percent increase of December. This is really a big surprise, because expectations calculated with a 2 percent increase.
Within the whole European Union, industrial orders decreased by 0.2 percent, after the 0.9 percent increase of December.
On annual level, industrial orders in the euro area decreased by 7 percent, while in the EU27 decreased by 6.3 percent in January. In terms of transport tools, annual decrease in the euro area was 7 percent, while in the EU27 it was 7.5 percent – reports ProfitLine.hu.
