Eurostat: more than one third of the EU residents did not go to vacation in 2016
More than one third of the population of the European Union did not travel in 2016; almost half of the people staying at home referred to financial reasons, Eurostat, the EU’s statistical office revealed.
According to Eurostat’s survey, 37.9 percent of the EU’s population did not travel anywhere in the period under review. 47.8 percent due to financial, 19.5 percent due to health, 13.3 percent due to family reasons, and 20.2 percent did not want to travel at all. (MTI)
