EuroSkills 2027: waiter selection starts, applications open until March 30

Applications have been announced for the selection of the Hungarian waiter contestant for the 2027 EuroSkills: according to the call, the aim is for the young people who make it into the professional team to represent Hungary in Düsseldorf.

The deadline for submitting the application is March 30, 2026 (Monday), to apply you must register on the website of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the application must be sent to expert Balázs Börczi (borczibalazs@kvszk.hu).

The application must include an 8-10 sentence English introduction, a description of a menu item typical of your own region (food + drink menu, for a freely chosen occasion), and – if available – previous professional or sports competition results and recommendations (school/practical place/higher education institution, name and contact details of the instructor). The practical final of the selection will take place on April 17, 2026 in Keszthely, at the Hotel Helikon** superior**, with practical tasks evoking real-life situations.

Based on the call, applications are expected from those who are interested in restaurant service, communicate well in English, and were born after January 1, 2005, and have already reached the age of 18 at the time of application.
