The cottage cheese is protected by the European Union
The cottage cheese has been protected by the European Commission as a traditional specialty product – the Milk Interprofessional Organization and Product Board told MTI.
The communication states that only products which are traditional element in their composition or method of production can qualify for PDO protection.
The cottage cheese curd is a pleasant cheese with a pleasantly sour, luscious aroma, a fresh and succulent taste, and is made up of loose clumps of kelp-like clusters – the professional organization wrote. (MTI)
