Hungarian goose production is also dominant at European level, with 1.3 million geese last year – the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) and the Poultry Product Council (BTT) announced on Friday.
According to their announcement, hatching approached 6.5 million individuals in 2018, compared to the 5 million of the year before and 6.8 million in 2016. Last year, slaughterhouses took over 34,000 tonnes of goose, while processing plants produced almost 22,000 tonnes of goose meat products. (MTI)
