European Food-chain Parliament
Members come from all segment of food sector from farmers to processors, retailers, quality controllers, consumer protection organisations etc.
The Central Agriculture Office Food and
Feed Safety Directorate (CAOFFSD) organized a three-day professional
conference in Visegrad on last days of November. On this event a new
organisation, a European Food-chain Parliament was estabilished by 15
countries. The president of the organisation is Laszlo Buza, CEO of
CAOFFSD. The joined nations are: Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Slovenia,
Serbia, Romania, Ukraine, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland,
Bulgaria, Austria and Croatia.
The essence of the European Food-chain
Parliament transnational cooperation programme is that countries with
closer geo-economic connection should together seek solutions for
specific problems affecting the region and trough it the whole
European Union like cross-border questions of food-chain regulation
and control.
According to the European Food-chain
Parliament founders regular interim meetings, national Foodlawment
events, professional and organizational group meeting will be held in
the countries with decision preparatory work: recommaendation and
commitment plans, analyses, surveys, handout plans will be puplished.
