European Commission: the dietary food denomination should be deleted
According to the concept of the European Commission; the dietary food denomination should be deleted to fill in the legislative gaps of the EU, and to restrict the companies' access for competitive advantage – states the Commission in its latest proposal.
An impact assessment prepared by the Commission revealed that the current EU legislations on dietary products are being used by individual companies to circumvent the strict European nutrition and health standards – reports Világgazdaság Online, after EurActiv.
