The number of Visa cards increased in Europe and decreased in Hungary
While in Europe the number of Visa cards and their marketing has greatly increased, in Hungary the number of plastics substantially reduced.
Mark Antipof the regional director of Visa Europe, told at today's press conference that the number of Visa cards increased by 6.5 percent to 445 million pieces in Europe last year the turnover of debit cards by 16 percent the spending on the card increased by 12 percent. However, in Hungary the number of Visa cards decreased by 22.3 percent, but the purchases, per one card increased by 4.3 percent and spendings increased 15.7 percent – reports by Világgazdaság Online – G.
