The price of pigs is decreasing in Europe
Domestic purchase prices follow the European trend, but are at a higher level than the EU average or even the German price – agrarszektor.hu wrote. It is no wonder that we are struggling in the export markets, but the import data turn out to be depressing.
According to the European Commission’s figures, the European Union sold 2 percent less pork on the international market in the first quarter of 2018 than a year before. 36 percent of the exports were directed to China, where 11 percent less, 358 000 tonnes of EU pigmeat was exported.
