Euromoney: K&H is not only the best bank, but also the best digital bank in this country
K&H collects international awards one after another. This year, it also won Euromoney’s “Hungary’s Best Digital Bank 2024” award after the same magazine awarded K&H the award for the best domestic financial institution. The award from one of the most respected trade magazines in the banking world is for K&H’s outstandingly innovative solutions on the Hungarian money market.
K&H wins consecutive international awards for digital banking solutions. It received the “Best Digital Bank in Hungary” award from the Global Banking and Finance Review in 2023 and 2024. This time, the British financial magazine Euromoney recognized the financial institution in the digital finance category, right after K&H won the “Hungary’s Best Bank 2024” award.
“We have placed the development of digital solutions at the center of our banking services, all in such a way that users feel every minute that the new functions serve them – says Balázs Németh, head of innovation at K&H.He added that more than 200 functions are now available from the mobile bank, both banking and insurance matters can be handled, as well as some services that do not belong to traditional banking, such as, for example, exchanging public transport tickets. Among the ever-increasing functions of the mobile bank, the most innovative solution is Kate, the artificial intelligence-based, voice-controlled digital financial assistant.
Kate was introduced by K&H at the end of 2022, then with “only” 60 functions, the number of which has now increased to more than 200. Outstanding among these is the fact that from the end of 2023, Kate will be able to start transactions based on verbal instructions, for example, to transfer forints, the only one on the Hungarian market to date. The popularity of the service is growing, 86 percent of all K&H customers, 650,000 people, are digitally active and about half a million of them have already tried it. They initiate about 220,000 conversations with Kate every month. 10 percent of the customer base, and around 50,000 people, actively use the help of the digital financial assistant on a monthly basis.
