EU: There are no agreements to regulate cloned meat

The Council and the European Parliament did not agree over the regulation of foods derived from cloned animals.
The Council and the European Parliament failed to agree until the prescribed deadline of yesterday, over the regulation of foods derived from cloned animals. The outdated legislation, that came into force in 1997 will remain. According to this legislation the food prepared from cloned animals can be distributed in the EU, after prior approval – reports Világgazdaság Online.
