Meal vouchers against wage reduction

According to the Meal Voucher Distributor Association (EUFE); the net reduction in wages until 2014 can be compensated with smaller employers burden with meal vouchers – reports MTI.

Bessenyey Bálint, director of EUFE on Wednesday told at a background interview in Budapest, that, while the 18 thousand HUF worth food vouchers' total payroll cost is 21,000 HUF, if it would be build in the wages, the employees would receive a net amount of 10,368 HUF.
The compenstion with meal vouchers can have a positive impact on the domestic economy, because the use of food vouchers generates domestic consumption and in addition creates additional revenue to domestic enterprises (restaurants, local convenience stores), – he added.
