Food stored safely under LED light
LEDs emitting blue light have an antibacterial effect. A university in Singapore has already examined how the technology could be used to lengthen the shelf life of food in stores. Scientists found that LED lights are most efficient in the 4-15°C temperature range, especially in a 4.5 pH environment. They are likely to work best with fruits, fruits of the sea and fish.
