International butter prices fall – ALDI immediately cuts prices
In response to the price drop in the international milk and dairy product procurement market experienced in recent days, ALDI Hungary is reducing the prices of its most popular butters by an average of 13% from today. The permanent price reduction applies to both traditional and lactose-free products.
Another turn of events has occurred on the international milk market: the price of butter has decreased in recent days. The more favorable purchasing conditions are also reflected directly in consumer prices at ALDI: as per its usual practice, as soon as the discount chain reaches lower purchasing prices, it passes the discount on to consumers. From today, the discount chain is significantly reducing the prices of its most popular and sought-after butters by an average of 13%.
Milsani Tea Butter with an 82% fat content costs 15% less, HUF 789, instead of HUF 939, in a 250 gram package. The popular 250-gram Irish butter has seen a price reduction of 11%, from 1,115 forints to 989 forints, while the 250-gram Desira brand butter, also with an 82% fat content, is being offered by ALDI for 13% cheaper, from 889 forints to 769 forints. The quarter-kilogram Milsani lactose-free butter is being offered at a 15% lower price: instead of 939 forints, its consumer price is only 789 forints, so consumers affected by lactose intolerance can also get butter products at a significantly lower price.
These four popular private-label ALDI products account for more than half of the supermarket chain’s total butter turnover, so customers can purchase the most popular butters significantly cheaper in all 185 ALDI stores from today.
