And the doctor came!? Or the cook? – Picture of the day

Probably not many people would be able to tell at first glance (or even many) what this bizarre-looking device is, a picture of which we found on the internet.
It is a device for separating cream from the top of old milk bottles – it was a practical element of pre-war civilian coffee! We do not know if cream was available in grocery stores at that time, but we can be sure that it was on top of the milk.
