Wine growers faces with sales problems
According to Horváth Csaba, Secretary-General of HNT; This year, 3.5 million less hectoliters of wine was produced than last year.
It is estimated that this year the same amount as last year, about 550 thousand tons of grapes will be produced. The reason, why the volume of the wine will be less compared to the last year is because the grape juice content will be smaller, but quality can offset this – said Horváth. The HNT however warns: without of long-term contract, some producers do not even know, how to sell this year's crop, and the open sales opportunities are bad – especially for wine because of the declining demand – reports MTI.
