Value sales increased above the average
Combined sales of mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard reached HUF 18 billion in December 2014-November 2015. Value sales rose 7 percent from the base period level. MAYONNAISE: retail sales were worth more than HUF 7 billion. Value sales were up 6 percent and volume sales grew by 5 percent. Stores with a floor space of 401-2,500m² increase their value sales share by 1 percentage point to 40 percent. KETCHUP: annual retail sales were above HUF 5 billion. In the examined period value sales improved by 9 percent and stores sold 3 percent more in terms of volume. In the last 12-month period stores bigger than 400m² realised 76 percent of value sales – 1 percentage point less than in the base period. MUSTARD: the annual market is moving above HUF 4 billion. Last time value sales bettered 5 percent and volume sales expanded by 4 percent. The level of concentration dropped 1 percentage point: hypermarkets saw their sales share decrease from 33 to 32 percent.
