Lidl Hungary once again successfully participated in the Value and Quality Grand Prix Competition: this year, it won the prestigious award with four products and one product line. The awards were presented on September 11 in the Grand Chamber of the Parliament, which is given to those products, services and economic organizations that are demonstrably committed to real quality in their activities.

It is of utmost importance for Lidl Hungary to offer high-quality products to customers at affordable prices as an ethical and responsible company. The company’s commitment was also rewarded in 2025, as this year it won the prestigious Value and Quality Grand Prix with four products and one product line. The awarded products include the sourdough potato loaf, Pilos Mini mozzarella (150 g), the Pilos Grill mozzarella product line (150 g), as well as the Pikok Pure Csabai and Gyulai dry sausage (100 g) and the Pikok Pure Snack sausage (100 g). The Pikok Pure product line, several members of which have won the Value and Quality Grand Prize in recent years, contains only natural ingredients and is free of any additives, colorings, or flavor enhancers.

“At Lidl, we work every day with our suppliers to ensure that high-quality products are placed on store shelves. The result of this work is that for years, among others, we have been among the winners of the Value and Quality Grand Prize, this year with 4 products and one product line, and together with these, we currently have 39 products bearing the trademark. We are proud that our selection of many quality, domestic products is recognized not only by customers but also by the industry,”

– said Zoltán Nepp, Purchasing Director of Lidl Hungary.

Thanks to Lidl’s international purchasing guidelines, only products that meet the strictest food quality and safety standards are included in the range. It is also important for Lidl that every customer finds products that meet their needs, which is why they also consider those with special diets, such as lactose- and gluten-free, vegan or vegetarian products. Lidl selects its suppliers according to strict criteria and is committed to supporting Hungarian suppliers. That is why it launched the “Lidl for Hungarian Suppliers” program in 2013, within the framework of which it now works with more than 500 Hungarian suppliers. This means that the supermarket chain has nearly 6,000 high-quality domestic products in its permanent and temporary offer.
