Employment in the United States grew significantly in May
Contrary to analysts’ expectations, the number of employees in the United States did not fall, but rose sharply in May, when the economy partially rebounded in parallel with the easing of measures to curb the coronavirus pandemic.
The number of people employed in non-agricultural sectors rose by 2,509,000 in May, according to data released by the Washington Department of Labor on Friday. Analysts expected a decrease of eight million after a decrease of 20 million 687 thousand in April and 1 million 373 thousand in March. (MTI)
