Increasing Russian meat production
In recent months, despite the financial and economic crisis, the Russian meat sector became much stronger and imports suppressed.
Living meat production was 4.07 million tonnes, which is 5.9 percent higher, than the datas of the previous year. Pig production increased by 8.4 percent, poultry by 12 percent, sheep and goat production by 0.7 percent, while the cattle production decreased by 3 percent. During the three-year state program, 300 billion rubels provision of credit had been occured. During the measures meat imports in Russia, decreased from 30 percent to 25 percent – reports agrarhirek.hu.
