The number of business trips fell sharply in the EU
The number of business trips decreased to nearly half between 2007 and 2015 in the European Union – Eurostat’s survey was published on Tuesday.
According to the data of the European Union’s statistical office, the number of business trips decreased from 206 million in 2007 to 116 million by 2015. In addition to the economic-financial crisis, the widespread use of cost-effective communication tools also contributed to the decline.
At the same time, the number of private trips has remained barely stable, at around 1 billion a year – Eurostat added. (MTI)
