Magazine: Grill sausage sales are highly concentrated
Hungarians spend about HUF 1 billion on grill sausage a year. The Nielsen Retail Index registered minus 26 percent in both value and volume from one year to another. Volume weighted average price augmented by 9 percent to HUF 1,733/kg. Hypermarkets’ share in volume sales fell from 59 to 52 percent from March 2010 to February 2011. In the same period the 401-2,500m² channel expanded from 35 to 40 percent. Manufacturer brand’s share in sales increased from 72 to 80 percent.
