Euronics closed a strong November, TVs were in stock
Euronics closed Black November with a turnover increase of more than 16 percent. The most popular products among customers were coffee makers, cordless vacuum cleaners and game consoles. Online sales also increased significantly this year, and the fact that Euronics now has 5,400 pick-up points in addition to its 67 physical stores further helps to make the collection of products easier. The number of the latter could reach 8,500 next year.
Euronics successfully closed Black November, which also includes Black Friday and precedes the Christmas holidays. According to the company, which primarily sells technical goods and consumer electronics, nearly 13,000 different products were purchased in Black November, i.e. about half of all products available in the range.
More than a quarter of November’s turnover came from online orders, which also means that the webshop took on an exceptionally strong share of the revenues compared to an average month. This is clearly visible in comparison to the base data from November last year: while the offline channel’s revenue also performed very strongly, increasing by 13 percent, online orders exceeded the same period last year by 25 percent. In terms of the number of customers, 7 percent more people visited the stores than in the same period last year. The three stores in Budaörs, Budakalász and Pécs had the three largest sales.
Coffee makers, vacuum cleaners, consoles at the top of the list
During Black November, a third of the entire range was on sale, but in the case of popular products, the proportion of products available at a lower price was much higher, so for example, 8 out of 10 TVs and about the same number of refrigerators could be bought on sale, 60 percent of the products in the case of built-in ovens, while almost half of the laptops were on sale.
“In November, the top list of most popular products in terms of sales was led by an automatic coffee maker, but the top 10 also included a cordless vacuum cleaner, game console, dryer, washing machine, refrigerator and TV. Looking at the product categories, TVs, smartphones and front-loading washing machines led, while refrigerators came in second place in the list of online purchases. Overall, during Black November, Euronics’ sales increased by more than 16 percent year-on-year and the average basket value also increased by 10 percent, and November 2023 was our best November so far, meaning we managed to grow from the highest possible base this year as well,” said Zsolt Azurák, Euronics’ chief commercial officer.
