Erika Intiso is the new Regional Managing Director and Sustainability Director for IKEA Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia
Erika Intiso will take on the role of IKEA Regional Managing Director and Sustainability Director for the Czech-Hungarian-Slovak region from September 2025. She replaces David McCabe, who led the region for four years and will now continue in a global role as Ingka Group Fulfilment & Core Services Manager.
In her new position, Erika will be responsible for driving continued growth and developing the business in the three countries. Her main goal is to make IKEA even more affordable, accessible and sustainable for the majority, while ensuring long-term growth and positive impact in the region, in the spirit of a customer-centric culture.
“It is an honor and an exciting time for me to open a new chapter in my career. I take on this role with great humility and enthusiasm and am delighted to be joining this fantastic team,”
says Erika.
“I look forward to building on the existing solid foundation, learning from different cultures and perspectives, and taking the company forward on a path of growth and success, making IKEA even more relevant and accessible to customers.”
Erika has a rich and diverse experience at IKEA, in global and regional positions. Since joining in 2010, she has held several important leadership positions, including Category Manager and Commercial & Range Manager, becoming Managing Director of IKEA Marketing & Communication AB in 2021, and then as Deputy Country Retail & CSO Manager of IKEA France, she achieved significant results with her strategic vision and inclusive leadership style.
