The autumn harvest was successful
The autumn harvest was successful and the prospects for the autumn sowing so far have been favorable – the Deputy Misnister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) announced in Budapest.
Tarpataki Tamás stated that the harvest of winter wheat, durum wheat, winter barley, spring barley, rye, oats, triticale and rapeseed covers over 1.66 million hectares nationwide with a total harvest of 7, 82 million tons. Last 7.93 million tons were produced on 1.74 million hectares.
Farmers have achieved good yields this year, and the decline in production is mainly due to a moderate fall in production area – the Deputy Misnister of State added. (MTI)
