The Gyula Castle Spa is preparing for this season with improvements
Gyulai Várfürdő Kft. closed a successful year in 2022, and for this season, Gyulai Várfürdő Kft. is preparing for this season with several strong developments – the company’s managing director told MTI on Tuesday.
Miklós Kun said that although the number of visitors last year was 10.6 percent lower than in 2019, before the coronavirus epidemic, it exceeded expectations and was more than 547,000. it was due to card discounts, the favorable summer weather and, in the case of foreign guests, the weak HUF exchange rate.
He explained that more than HUF 600 million are allocated from their own resources for development. The existing solar park with a capacity of 50 kilowatts will be expanded to 500 kilowatts; thus, the system will cover 16.2 percent of electricity consumption.
Well No. 4 of the spa is put into operation again, and its water is channeled under the city into the spa. For this purpose, a new heating center and degasser will be created, so from the fall, instead of natural gas, they will be able to heat the water of the 50-meter pool with water from the well.
The connection line of well No. 5 in the small district will also be replaced, he added. The spa building will be heated with the 92-degree thermal water through heat exchangers, and the well will provide the necessary larger amount of water.
