The Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry closed a successful year in 2025
The Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK) had a successful year in 2025. In the spirit of the Chamber Renaissance, it began to build its activities on five pillars: Tradition – Sustainability – Innovation and Digitalization – Knowledge – Momentum.
“Through the 5-year Government-Chamber Agreement, the entrepreneurial sector will receive significant tax relief in the coming years, and the administrative burdens on entrepreneurs will also be reduced and simplified,” emphasized Elek Nagy, President of MKIK.
In the Demján Sándor 1+1 Investment Incentive Support Program, 30,000 domestic enterprises applied for funds and almost 80 percent of them received a positive assessment. This represents an allocation of more than 1,100 billion forints. More than 14 thousand enterprises have applied for the Széchenyi Card Program with a 3 percent interest rate, and so far the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) concerned have contracted for funds worth approximately 130 billion forints. Through the Demján Sándor Capital Program, managed and scored by the Chamber, a 100 billion forint capital fund helps enterprises capable of growth. These programs can provide substantial assistance to approximately 280,000 enterprises out of the 908,000 operating companies. The National Chamber Supplier Program and the Enterprise Development Project (VFP Chamber) will continue this year as well. These opportunities will also be available in 2026.
By the end of this year, we will introduce 10,000 businesses to the efficiency-enhancing properties of artificial intelligence (AI) as part of the Digital Awakening Program. These practical trainings are organized locally with the help of all regional chambers of Hungary, during which anyone can try out AI. In addition, we will continue our AI Hackathons series, also utilizing the experiences of the Budapest and Győr events.
This year, there will also be public chamber forums to strengthen cybersecurity (NIS2) and to examine the digital vulnerability of businesses and reduce potential risks. Within the framework of the Modern Enterprises Program, interested parties can learn more about the possibilities and benefits of using infocommunication technologies in companies.
The Chamber focuses on the entrepreneur!
Elek Nagy, President of MKIK, said: “The packages of measures that simplify entrepreneurial taxation and administration, the possibility of preferential financial resources, and our free business development and education programs mean a more than twenty-fold return for many Hungarian small businesses compared to the annual chamber contribution of 5,000 forints. Contact us with confidence, both in the countryside and in the capital.”
