Slight change in the weight of bigger stores
Retail sales of coffee neared HUF 27 billion in the December 2014-May 2015 period. Value sales grew by 3 percent but volume sales fell 1 percent. Stores with a floor space above 2,500m² saw their value share in sales drop from 31 to 30 percent. Parallel to this, the share of the 401-2,500m² channel increased 1 percentage point to 36 percent. The share of private label coffee was 19 percent (in value) – smaller than the 27-percent average of PL groceries in total sales.
