Slight increase in retail sales in Slovakia last year
Retail sales in Slovakia increased by 1.4 percent on an annual basis – the analysis of the Poštová Banka reveals.
Retail sales in Slovakia in 2015 amounted to 19.139 billion euros, which was 1.4 percent more than in 2014.
Retail sales rose in five of the eight counties in Slovakia, while in three counties a slight decrease occured. The expansion was mainly detected in Besztercebánya (3.4 percent) and Pozsony (2.3 percent) counties. However, retail sales fell the most in Kassa County, by 1.9 percent on an annual basis.
