Euro area private sector’s growth accelerated slightly in January
The year started stronger in the euro area private sector, with economic growth slightly accelerating in January – according to IHS Markit’s Purchasing Manager Indexes.
The Eurozone Composite Purchasing Manager Index (PMI) for manufacturing and services data rose to 51.3 from 50.9 points in December. This is the best data since August last year, exceeding the 50.9 points previously predicted and expected by analysts. (MTI)
