That’s how much Wolt food couriers earn in big rural cities
The Wolt partner couriers went on strike on September 18, protesting against the company’s unethical treatment.
While couriers used to see Wolt as a high-paying dream job, now employees are fleeing because of the low remuneration. The strike in Pécs brought together a hundred couriers to draw attention to the problems of corporate politics. The salary of rural couriers has almost halved compared to last year, this year they only work for a net hourly wage of HUF 500.
The company is trying to maintain low fees by recruiting new employees, and according to the employees, this is unethical – the Hungarian National Courier Representation draws attention to the situation.
