German discounter Aldi was voted the most popular retail chain of 2017 in the United Kingdom. In a voting organised by the magazine Good Housekeeping, the discount supermarket chain finished ahead of Sainsbury-t and Waitrose. Aldi has a 7-percent market share in the UK, being the country’s fifth biggest retailer.
