eNet: Hungarians spent more than 1,000 billion forints online last year
The total value of purchases from online retailing in Hungary exceeded 1,000 billion HUF last year, which represents an increase of about 13 percent – according to the 2018 e-retail analysis of the eNet Internet Research and Consulting Ltd., which was sent to MTI on Tuesday.
According to the analysis, the domestic e-retail market grew by more than 2.5 times over 4 years: while in 2014, the online net sales of online stores were only 273 billion forints, in 2018 it reached 669 billion forints. Based on the online sales of over 5,000 e-retailers, online retail sales reached 7 percent, which is a 13 percent increase, compared to the previous year. (MTI)
