AB Inbev posts double-digit growth
Anheuser-Busch InBev reports double-digit revenue and profit growth worldwide for the first quarter. Sales increased by 13.2 percent (EBITDA: 13.6 percent). The growth came from 0.9 per cent volume growth and 12.4 per cent revenue growth per hectolitre, AB Inbev said.
Adjusted USD earnings per share rose by 8.7 per cent. Total sales were up 0.9 per cent. Sales of beer produced in-house increased by 0.4 per cent and other products by 3.6 per cent.
For global brands such as Corona and Stella Artois, the increase in total sales outside their respective home markets was 15.4 per cent. Around 62 per cent of Anheuser-Busch InBev’s sales came from B2B digital platforms, with around 3.1 million active monthly users of the BEES platform.
