Increasing Wal-Mart profits
The first quarter result of Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has been increased slightly, compared to the same period of 2008.
The company reached $ 3.03 billion profit in the first three months of 2009. This is 77 cents per share after the one year earlier 3.029 billion dollars, and 76 cent per share results. But Wal-Mart's revenues declined to $ 94.2 billion from 94.9 billion dollars. The second quarterly profit can be 83-88 cents per share. Analysts of FactSet Research estimated 77 cents per share for the first quarter and 85 cents per share for the second quarter.
