Excise tax on tobacco products has increased
The excise tax on tobacco products has increased: the minimum tax rate for cigarettes increased from 28,800 HUF to 29,200 HUF per thousand, while the minimum tax rate for cigars from 4120 to 4180 HUF. The tax rate for consumption tobacco increased from 16,200 HUF to 17,300 HUF on 1 July.
However, the excise duty on electric cigarettes did not change, which is 10 HUF per piece for single use (disposable) products and 70 HUF per milliliters for liquid, and 55 HUF per milliliter in the case of filling fluids. (MTI)
