Increasing hotel turnover in the first quarter

In January-March 2011, the number of guests and guest nights both increased by 6 percent at commercial accommodations, compared to the same period last year.

The number of domestic visitors increased by 5 percent, while the number of foreign visitors by 8 percent. During the period, 537 thousand foreign  guests spent 1 million 404 thousand guest nights in commercial accommodations, the number of the guests and the fguest nights increased both by 8, and 7  percent – reports the Cenral Statistical Office (KSH).
