The Conference Board’s overall U.S. economic index rose in October
The Conference Board’s Economic Research Institute’s Comprehensive U.S. Economic Index rose more than expected in October.
According to a report released by the institute on Thursday, the value of the Leading Economic Index (LEI) increased by 0.9 percent to 118.3 points. Analysts expected a slightly slower pace of 0.8 percent after a 0.1 percent rise in September.
The 100-point value of LEI reflects the situation in 2016. (MTI)
