Carrefour’s last-quarter sales increased
The world’s number two retailer the Carrefour announced that its sales growth accelerated in the fourth quarter, in an annual comparision, mainly due to the expansion of the European and Brazilian sales.
The sales of the world's second-largest retailer increased by 4.1 percent to 22.62 billion euros in an annual comparison in the three months lasted to the end of December. The analysts expected 22.47 billion euros. In the third quarter the chain's sales revenues grew by 2.8 percent. The company reported on Friday that the 2014 operating profit is expected to be 2.38 billion euros, which corresponds to the forecast. (MTI)
