EM: increased budget, extended deadline in the corporate e-car program
The budget has been increased and the application deadline has been extended in the corporate e-car program – announced Energy Minister Csaba Lantos in the ministry’s latest Facebook post on Thursday.
In the video, the minister recalled that the corporate electric car program was launched two years ago. The initiative is popular, with ten thousand applications received so far.
Last year, the budget was already increased once, and the submission deadline was extended to the end of February. Now they are doing it again, giving companies an additional 5 billion forints for fleet greening. Applications are expected until mid-April for a subsidy of up to 4 million forints per vehicle – he announced.
The program started with a budget of 30 billion forints in February the year before last. With the new increase, one and a half times more resources, 45 billion forints, will help businesses with their purchases. Companies can reduce the operating and maintenance costs of their vehicle fleet with modern vehicles
– Csaba Lantos explained.
He pointed out that the spread of e-cars is good news for everyone. Replacing conventionally powered cars will reduce air pollution and noise pollution.
The minister highlighted: 2025 was a record year for the introduction of purely electric vehicles into domestic traffic, with the clean and quiet fleet expanding by more than 31 thousand units last year. With the increase, the total stock exceeded one hundred thousand units in December.
The successful support program contributed greatly to the top decision. They are increasing the budget to ensure that the momentum continues this year, he emphasized.
“So let’s continue, please apply!” – said the Minister of Energy.
