No more virgin plastic in the crisp bags of PepsiCo Europe
By 2030 PepsiCo Europe will eliminate the use of virgin plastic in the packaging of its Walkers, Doritos and Lay’s branded products. Instead, the packaging’s recycled content will be derived from used plastic, while the renewable part will come from plant by-products and waste from paper pulp. Through this move, the company estimates to reduce greenhouse gas emission by 40 percent.
