The fifth or sixth of the Hungarian malls may disappear
The rural malls were less affected by the crisis, due to their greater flexibility and lower rents – said Horváth Péter Portfolio Manager of the Central European Mosaic Property to Portfolio online.
The expert said, that the mall fever of the past few years increased the rent fees in Budapest, but the fees started from low levels at the rural shopping malls. However, the turnover of the tenants of the Budapest malls are only a half bigger, than the turnover of the rural tenants on same price and with the same product range as well. So the rural traders are less affected by the crisis, thanks to their greater flexibility of lower rent charges.
