The storage hall in Maglód was the first to earn the highest sustainability rating
HelloParks Maglód’s 45,000 square meter MG3 warehouse was the first to receive the strictest Outstanding rating in the New Construction category of the BREEAM sustainability standard among industrial properties in Hungary. The company’s warehouses completed this year and currently under construction are all built according to these conditions and meet the requirements of the EU Taxonomy. The development also fits into the climate neutrality roadmap of HelloParks.
In addition to the completed building, the entire planning, construction and project management process is also evaluated in the New Construction category, from the procurement and delivery of raw materials, through waste management, to the installed and used technologies. The outstanding qualification was achieved by the developer with the professional support of ABUD Mérnökiroda Kft. Most domestic certifications are carried out for in-use buildings, so few developers take these aspects into account during the preparation and construction stages. The company was previously the first in Hungary to obtain an Excellent rating in the industrial real estate category – with the MG1 hall of HelloParks Maglód – and since 2023 it has been the only one to build all its new facilities in accordance with the strictest Outstanding criteria.
